Women Radio is 100% female-centric amplifying women’s voices and mainstreaming women as drivers of gender equity, anti-corruption and accountability campaigns in Nigeria. The broadcast media trainer and UNWomen certified trainer established the First Female Academy Women Radio Centre where female journalists are trained as undercovers and investigative reporters to expose untold stories of women and girls. Recognised as one of Nigeria’s 5 most powerful women in journalism, she founded Women in Radio Development (WINRAD) a network on career development for females working in Radio. She developed training modules for Nigerian journalists on positive reportage of Women in Politics and Leadership and led the training of 95 Journalists across the 6 geopolitical zones. A United Nations ambassador for women, European Union influencer to end Violence against Women and girls in Nigeria, member Technical Working Committee on reviewed Gender & Equal Opportunity Bill of 2016, member of African Women Leaders Network and an inductee of Nigeria’s Hall of Fame.
