About the Summit

Re-engineering African Media in Times of Critical Transformation

The highlight of the summit was the opening keynote to african media leaders by Dr Akinwumi Adesina – president of the African Development Bank.  The summit was preceded by a youth challenge and the three winners showcased their innovations throughout the summit.  A vibrant public youth debate was held at the University of Nairobi called the Digizens’ Cirlce: Young Africa Speaks.  A key moment of the Summit was the allAfrica Excellence Awards where over 20 people were celebrated including 11 lifetime awards and an African Titan Award for leadership in African development was bestowed upon Dr Akinwumi Adesina.
